Another superb Riesling vintage for Mt Barker region has produced a wine of great power and purity with a layered bouquet of fresh citrus, red apple and white flowers. The palate shows wonderful flavour intensity, balance and minerality with a core of natural, cool climate acidity that will ensure that this wine develops in complexity over the next ten years with careful cellaring.

Expect an Intensely Fragrant Wine

2009

An elegant, aromatic Riesling in the Germanic mould; attractive fresh floral aromas with subtle citrus nuances. Refreshingly delicate and fragrant on the palate with lingering notes of apple blossom. Enjoy now or cellar for 3-5 years for a greater honey and toast sensation.

2014

This is an intensely fragrant wine brimming with rose petal and floral aromatics. These characters persist on the palate and surround a tightly wound core of lime and grapefruit flavour, whilst the signature Great Southern stoney acidity provides finesse and structure. Cellar for 7-10 years to relish the full potential of this remarkable varietal.

2015

The aroma is seductive, fresh with enticing lime juice, lychee and citrus blossom. This wine has a subtle power with elegant lime and floral characters coming to the fore, whilst the palate has great length, being both dry and yet mouth-filling. This is enhanced by a small proportion of the wine being matured in old French oak and the balance of the wine is reinforced by hallmark Mt Barker Riesling acidity. Suitable for cellar with a right cellaring condition.

Expect Vibrant Aromatics Reminiscent of Freshy Crushed Wildflowers

This wine displays vibrant aromatics reminiscent of freshly crushed wildflowers and rose petals with hints of white peach.. these flavours lead to a mid-palate core of intense lime juice supported with crisp acidity and balanced by an ethereal textural minerality. Pale straw in colour with nice length and a clean, dry finish. This wine will reward medium term cellaring with the development of complex characters of toast and honey.

Towerhill Chardonnay 2013

Expect A Dry,  Light Bodied Style of Chardonnay

Handpicked at optimum ripeness, this wine displays refined stone fruit and citrus characters that are the hallmark of Mt Barker chardonnay. Complex aromatics are derived from fermentation and maturation in fine-grained French puncheons for nine months with protective stirring on full lees. The palate has excellent depth of flavour yet fine linear acidity and an elegant structure that will reward careful cellaring from 4 to 6years.

Towerhill Dry Reisling 2012

This classic Mt Barker Riesling exhibits a vibrant, floral bouquet with notes of lime zest and wet stone. The palate is fresh, crisp and deliciously balanced, with refined citrus and mineral flavours leading into a long finish. Irresistible when its young, this wine is also worthy of 5-8 years careful cellaring to develop the complexity characteristic of the region.

Awards**** Expect a Light, Dry Bodied Type of Reisling

A delicate and floral wine showing all the attributes of true Great Southern Riesling. Citrus and floral notes dominate the nose while the palate is crisp and clean with citrus flavours providing a long powerful finish. This wine has aged beautifully developing rich mellow qualities and with careful cellaring will reward for five to six years.
